The summer of 2019 my partner and I took a six week road trip in our crossover - with our Golden Retriever- traveling up the Pacific Coast Highway starting at the Mexican border and finishing somewhere near Canada.

We had so much fun that we became obsessed with the idea of a van conversion that allowed us to get up and travel whenever we wanted. Covid made us go a little crazy and in September we bought our Mercedes Sprinter van.

With absolutely zero construction experience between the two of us - and in my case, not even an idea of how to use a power tool - we got right to work on turning an empty metal shell to a home!
